Anne's still popular today, even after 100 years of publication.
I think it's because she's such an inspirational and funny (not in a negative way) character that, although we're in different time periods, people still find her likeable.
Do you think she'll be still as popular 100 years from now? What about 50 years?

I went to several bookstores lately and my gosh, there are several publishers (and of course different covers - goody!) for the same book: Anne of Green Gables. It's always a wonder to see them on the shelves.
