KINDRED SPIRITS: people of the race that knows Joseph. 8)
ANDREWS: almost kindred spirits but not quite.
GILLIS: the giggly, silly type who can be nice but sometimes aren't.
MCPHERESONS (or the Spurgeons): the kind, solemn kind; sorta absent minded without meaning to be.
SLOANES: people who are Sloanish. I know exactly what LMM meant but I can't explain it.
PYES: the sharp tongued, sometimes nasty type. I know a few Pye people that I like. They make life more interesting.
Okay, these are just names and definitions that I came up with.
I think most people who read Anne consider themselves as Kindred spirits. At least I do. |

I do know plenty of Gillis. I must admit that they are a bit interesting to talk to.
I always wondered who people who were not kindred spirits or Sloanes and Pyes were. |

If you can come up with any better ones, please post them. I am not very good at that sort of thing. |

Davys--People who seek fun is a rather curious way.
Doras--People who always seem to do everything right. |

I think that's very true! If you like the book and Anne's optimism, I think you're a kindred spirit
What about the Blythes? Kindred spirits, no doubt. |

What about Rachel Lynde? I know it's more like the Thomases but we never really got to know her husband that well. |

Rachel Lynde goes in a category with Ms. Cornelia, probably. They're basically the same character, except for their catch phrases "that's what!" and "just like a man!".
Anne/LMM was fairly shameless about how boring Jane and Dora were, which I thought was unfair because they were loyal.
Ms. Hammond Andrews is probably a category that a few other characters go into. |

I can think of quite a few busybodies that would go well together.
A loyal group is a good idea, I can think of a couple others who would fit in there well too. |

Speaking of Stella, she can go in the group of mysterious friends Anne has. We don't know much about her. |
