I think that Stella doesn't get so much time in the spotlight than Phil and Priscilla. (Hope that is her name in English becuase translater seem to change about a half of names in the book. In Finnish Anne is Anna, and I don't think it's good thing. She said that her name is Anne with an e!) And yes, Phillippa is an interesting character, I'd loved to read more about her too. She really should appear more in the last books, and so should all of Anne's friends. |

What other names did the translator change besides Anne? |

Philippa was a real character, but I don't think she could have held throughout an entire book. There would be so much chattering about boys... |

By 'revelation', I was referring to when Anne realised that she loved Gilbert.
In general, actually, I found that there wasn't very much written about Gilbert. There was a lot of information when other people told Anne about him, back when Anne didn't care, but once they got together there's almost nothing.
For instance, I only have a very vague idea about his background.
Also, in reply to something before, I think Gilbert became a teacher to pay his way through college, because he really didn't have support from his parents (if they weren't dead, I'm not sure). |

Okay, but how would a near death experience be related to Charlie? I'm confused.
I do know that Gilbert's father was still around, and that Marilla had a brief relationship with him. |

Somewhere in this book it says something about Gilbert's mother. Anne liked her. I think something was said about Gil's Mother being at the twins birth too. |

I remember that in AofI after Gilbert proposed Anne first time Gilbert's mother didn't talk much to Anne anymore. Anne was sad because of that. The book said that Anne had always liked Gilbert's youthful mother. |

Wow, this is good, having everything remember different parts. My memory isn't doing so well at the moment |
